Jeff Jockisch (Group Lead)
Jeff is a data privacy researcher and the CEO at PrivacyPlan. He creates datasets about data privacy to gain insight into the privacy landscape.
His research focuses on privacy-enhancing tech, privacy regulations, AI, and more.
He’s passionate about issues such as digital identity, data brokers, and data subject access requests. He also tracks, rates, and ranks privacy podcasts.
Before his focus on privacy, Jeff studied Organizational Behavior at Cornell, and spent 20+ years in tech startups, including building mortgage information systems, custom web browsers, and a Q&A search engine.

Debbie Reynolds “The Data Diva” is a world-renowned technologist, thought-leader, and advisor handling global Data Privacy, Cyber Data Breach response, and complex cross-functional data-driven projects.
Ms. Reynolds is an internationally published author, highly sought speaker, and top media presence about global Data Privacy, Data Protection, and Emerging Technology issues.
Ms. Reynolds has been named to the Global Top 20 CyberRisk Communicators by The European Risk Policy Institute, 2020, and recognized as one of the stellar women who know Cyber by Cybersecurity Ventures in 2021.
Ms, Reynolds also produced the Top Five Data Privacy Podcast in 2021 called “The Data Diva” Talks Privacy.”

Tawfiq Alashoor
Tawfiq Alashoor is an Assistant Professor at Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), Department of Digitalization. Alashoor holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Saudi Arabia), Penn State University (U.S.), and Georgia State University (U.S.), respectively. He completed a postdoc program at the University of Notre Dame (U.S.) after his Ph.D.
His main research focuses on privacy decision making and cybersecurity. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals in the Information Systems (IS) field, such as Communications of the AIS, and globally recognized conferences, such as ICIS and HICSS.
He received a Best Research Paper Award at ICIS (2015) and MENA-CIS (2018) and a Best Research Reviewer Award at the Academy of Management (2019). He serves as a reviewer for top tier IS journals, such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Management Science, including other editorial roles in the privacy research community.
Alashoor’s teaching interests include managerial cybersecurity, systems analysis & design, quantitative research methods, and business statistics. He received a Teaching Excellence Award from Georgia State University (2019). Among other communities in the field, Alashoor is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and AIS SIG on Information Security and Privacy.

Nalini Indorf Kaplan is the CEO of Cultiva Partners and creator of DataProtection DynamiX™ and reThink Privacy. She works with mission-driven leaders to deepen customer trust. Nalini brings 30+ years of expertise in customer strategy, ethics and technology and has held executive positions at MasterCard, Deloitte and AMS (acquired by CGI).
Priya Keshav
Priya is the Founder and CEO of Meru Data LLC. At Meru, Priya helps corporations to identify and proactively manage privacy and security risks around data. Prior to this Priya Keshav was the leader of KPMG’s Forensic Technology Services practice in the Southwest U.S. She has more than seventeen years of consulting experience in information governance, cyber-crime response, eDiscovery, and forensics investigations.
Tom Besore
Tom Besore is a licensed attorney and certified information privacy professional. He's a frequent host and panel moderator, bringing together professionals with a global interest in privacy. He's particularly interested in the use of distributed ledger technology, zero knowledge proofs and digital identity management to give consumers direct control over their data.
K Royal
Dr. K Royal is an attorney and global compliance professional with 25 years of experience in the legal and health-related fields, along with a Ph.D. in public affairs. K has managed legal teams along with privacy offices and has assisted companies from global enterprises down to sole proprietorships to establish or reinvigorate their data protection programs, including cultural revolutions.
She is certified through the IAPP as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), Privacy Management (CIPM), and US and EU Privacy Law (CIPP/US, CIPP/E) and through ISACA as a data privacy solutions engineer (CDPSE). Currently, K is the head of privacy and legal at TrustArc and a Teaching fellow with the Center for Law, Science, and Innovation at the Sandra Day O"Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
